As more data, science and research emerge, it is clear that our planet is struggling. There are a lot of scary articles out there that make it seem as though the end is near. However, if we take responsibility for what has happened and start to change our tune, we will be able to stop the destruction of our beloved Terra Firma and make this planet a safer one for our future generations to live on. Governments from all over the world need to take this seriously and need to start enacting change from a federal level and everyday citizen like you and I need to do our best to use our wallets for good. Using only what we need, purchasing higher quality items that will last a very long time etc. Below is a snippet from an NPR article about some computer modeling that was done and some hope for our planet.
As the world’s top climate scientists released aĀ report full of warningsĀ this week, they kept insisting that the world still has a chance to avoid the worst effects of climate change.
“It is still possible to forestall most of the dire impacts, but it really requires unprecedented, transformational change,” saidĀ Ko Barrett, vice chair of theĀ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. “The idea that there still is a pathway forward, I think, is a point that should give us some hope.”
